Sharon Kandris, Director of Community Informatics, is presenting at the National Legal Aid and Deference Association conference in Indianapolis on November 11. The association and conference are targeted to civil legal aid, indigent defense, and public interest law communities responding to the legal needs of people with low income. The workshop, “Legal Service Data in Context: Leveraging Public Data for Community Needs Assessments and Planning,” features demonstrations of the IndyVitals and SAVI Community Assessment tools and is an opportunity for attendees to discover how to address the information needs of legal service program directors. Other panelists include staff from US Office of Data Governance and Analysis, Indiana Legal Services, Pine Tree Legal Assistance, and Legal Services Corporation.
