National Archive of Criminal Justice Data The National Archive of Criminal Justice Data (NACJD) houses historical data from various national criminal justice datasets and is a part of the Inter-University Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR) at the University of Michigan. The county-level crime data displayed in this website utilizes the NACJD's holdings of the FBI's Uniform Crime Reports data. Counties contain many police jurisdictions, and reporting of crimes by jurisdictions in a county may not reach 100% in any given year. UCR and NACJD data only contain reported crimes; no interpolation or estimation has taken place. The Polis Center has set a reporting threshold of 75% for inclusion of the data into the Profiles websites. If counties fall below this reporting threshold, they are excluded from SAVI. Within IMPD's boundaries, SAVI uses point-level data to develop neighborhood indicators, but outside IMPD jurisdiction, these county level values are best data we have. Data releases from NACJD are delayed a few years compared to locally reported data from IMPD.
