LEHD data is available at the tract level. In SAVI, we publish LEHD at the IndyVitals Neighborhood Area level, which can be larger than tracts. This data about workers and jobs is compiled from many sources, including state unemployment insurance data. It is not drawn from a sample, but is instead a total count based on administrative records. Jobs without unemployment insurance, like independent contractors, are not included in this data set. The data includes characteristics of the jobs present in each tract, the workers who live in each tract, and the origin and destination of commuters.
